Raise your hand if you enjoy looking into your laundry room. I don’t see any hands.
At Closet POSSIBLE, our clients have made it abundantly clear that they just don’t like to see all the “stuff” in their laundry room – the detergent, fabric softener, stain remover, ironing board, spray starch and the remains of the dryer lint trap. It’s about as enjoyable as looking at everything under your kitchen sink. More on that in a minute.
Closet POSSIBLE designs and installs custom laundry room organization systems throughout Mercer County, Middlesex County, Hunterdon County, Somerset County and Bucks County. Even though the laundry room is one of the more utilitarian rooms in your home, you shouldn’t have to settle for a lack of organization. A custom laundry room can be designed in a way that allows you to keep all laundry-related activities in the laundry room, and all laundry room “stuff” neatly organized and behind closed doors.
Let’s discuss what’s possible, starting with organizing dirty laundry. We’ve been asked to install as many as four hampers on sliding shelves in a single laundry room so garments could be sorted by person, type or material. This makes it easier to start the laundry process.
What about folding laundry? We can install a folding station right above the washer and dryer so you can fold laundry as you pull it out of the dryer and bring it directly to the appropriate room. We can also install at least one rod to hang delicate garments that can’t go in the dryer.
That laundry room “stuff” can be stored in cabinets so they’re out of sight but within reach. If there’s room, why not install a tall, narrow cabinet for your vacuum, mop, broom and ironing board? We can even build an ironing station with a board that folds out of the wall. Maybe grandma was onto something with that wooden, fold-out ironing board.
We previously mentioned everything under the kitchen sink – household cleaners, ammonia, hair clog remover and other delightful products. Do you really want those products in the same area where you prepare meals? Sure, it’s tucked away under the sink, but it’s still in your kitchen and within reach of children. We’ve had clients who were thrilled to move their under-the-kitchen-sink cleaners to a new home in their custom laundry room organization system.
Families can be a little rough on their laundry rooms, which is why we use the same quality products and design principles in a custom laundry room that we use in a walk-in closet. Function tends to be the priority, but you’ll have plenty of finishes to choose from, and our products will be guaranteed for as long as you own your home.
Let Closet POSSIBLE help you turn your laundry room from eyesore to neat and orderly. And don’t forget, we also design and install mud rooms, garage storage and all types of closets. Call us to schedule a free, no-obligation consultation in your home or our Pennington, NJ showroom. We look forward to helping you imagine what’s possible in a custom laundry room.
